Proper technique is one of the most important aspects of learning to swim. However, for some children and adults, lack of buoyancy presents a problem. A person who cannot stay afloat will have a hard time learning to proper technique and will sometimes create a new (improper) swim technique that compensates for their lack of buoyancy.
We have designed a wet suit with that purpose—to provide just the right amount of flotation without encouraging bad habits. The entire suit is made from comfortable Neoprene, with specific sections of the suit made from a thicker cut of Neoprene to help with flotation. This design helps assist a swimmer as they float or roll over to get breaths while swimming, it does not provide excessive flotation that encourages dependence on the suit.
Unlike a life jacket, our wet suits can be worn both horizontally and vertically in the water, and are a discrete way to boost confidence for children and adults who need a little extra edge to help them complete their swim training. It can also be used to help swimmers gain confidence in the open water, because it conserves energy by assisting their float and keeps them comfortable by trapping body heat.
